Document Controller – Marine Offshore/EPC Projects

About the role

Orbit International Survey Services (Orbit ISS) is seeking an experienced Document Controller to oversee project documentation for marine, offshore, shipyard, or EPC projects. The role ensures that all technical documents, drawings, reports, and certificates are accurately managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, register, distribute, track, and archive project documents in line with company and client procedures.
• Maintain document registers, transmittals, revisions, approvals, and status logs.
• Control technical documents, drawings, reports, certificates, and other project records.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA/QC, commissioning, contractors, and vendors to obtain outstanding documents.
• Manage electronic and hard‑copy filing systems, ensuring traceability and availability of the latest approved revisions.
• Utilise DMS/EDMS and ERP systems for document handling and generate status reports.
• Support preparation of project dossiers, handover documents, and final close‑out records.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing required project records.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in project document control, preferably in marine, offshore, shipyard, or EPC environments.
• Familiarity with DMS/EDMS and ERP applications.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
