Dry Utilities Inspector (Electrical)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Dry Utilities Inspector (Electrical) to oversee the installation, maintenance, and compliance of electrical dry utility systems on construction sites in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that all electrical works follow approved designs, standards, and safety regulations while supporting project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the installation of electrical dry utility systems, ensuring proper alignment, levels, and gradients.
• Verify that all electrical works comply with approved designs, specifications, and industry standards.
• Monitor materials and workmanship to maintain high‑quality standards.
• Witness and verify system testing such as electrical continuity and insulation resistance testing.
• Oversee commissioning of electrical utility systems to confirm full operational status.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and utility service providers to resolve issues.
• Liaise with project engineers and managers to address discrepancies and implement design changes.
• Ensure all electrical utility works are performed safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor environmental practices, including waste disposal and sustainable construction methods.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience inspecting electrical utility systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical dry utility systems and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as IEC, BS, IEEE, or local regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical utility drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for electrical utility works.
• Experience with trenching, excavation, and backfilling processes related to electrical utilities.
