Duty Manager – Front Office

About the role

The Duty Manager will lead the Front Office team at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, ensuring seamless guest experiences and smooth hotel operations. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, this position steps in to manage the department in their absence and collaborates closely with other service areas.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all Front Office activities, guaranteeing prompt and courteous service for every guest.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, and Butler teams to resolve guest requests and operational issues.
• Monitor daily arrivals, walk‑in guests, and room availability, ensuring accurate reservations and billing.
• Verify guest credit status, manage billing instructions, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date departmental records, standards of conduct, uniform compliance, and appearance.
• Promote in‑house sales and facilities to maximize revenue.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Front Office or hospitality management, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns effectively.
• Detail‑oriented mindset and ability to work under pressure.
• Commitment to upholding the brand’s service standards and values.

Required skills

• Knowledge of reservation and billing procedures.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) is advantageous.
