E3D Administrator

About the role

Wood Group is seeking an experienced E3D Administrator to join its Dubai team, supporting oil and gas petrochemical projects. The role involves managing the 3D model environment, ensuring compliance with standards, and collaborating across engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the Lead Piping Engineer and support other disciplines as required.
• Verify that 3D model working instructions, job specifications, procedures, tagging catalogs, and standards are available and accessible.
• Ensure proper application of procedures within the 3D model.
• Manage system clash checks, LFM setup, and troubleshooting.
• Act as custodian of the E3D model, generating reports such as MTO, bolt, clash, and line count.
• Create and update catalogs for all components.
• Assess modification impacts and communicate consequences to relevant disciplines.
• Maintain the SP3D project database and plant structure.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with procedures and frameworks.
• Develop, support, and customize drawing templates and discipline deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant oil and gas experience, including at least 7 years in an E3D Administrator role.
• Diploma level education with professional qualifications and accreditation relevant to the position.
• Proven ability to interface effectively with multiple disciplines, project managers, and client stakeholders.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of AVEVA E3D.
• Expertise with AutoCAD, ERM, LFM server, and other CAD software.
• Experience with SP3D project database management.
• Strong analytical skills for clash detection and impact assessment.
