Electrical Draftsman

About the role

The Electrical Draftsman will produce and maintain electrical drawings for oil and gas EPC projects in Abu Dhabi, using AutoCAD and SmartPlant. The role ensures that all documentation reflects as‑built conditions and complies with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and update electrical drawings using AutoCAD and SmartPlant, aligned with industry standards and site as‑built conditions.
• Prepare single line diagrams (SLDs), equipment layouts, cable routing, and earthing layouts for existing and demolition scenarios.
• Update vendor drawings and incorporate red‑line mark‑ups into final as‑built drawings.
• Develop 3D models of substations with new tag integration.
• Support preparation of demolition and installation drawings.
• Ensure compliance with industry numbering and drafting procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in oil and gas EPC environments.
• Proven ability to work under the supervision of a Lead Electrical Engineer.
