Electrical Draughtsman – EPLAN Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Draughtsman with expertise in EPLAN/ELCAD to produce accurate electrical schematics, panel layouts and technical documentation for our turnkey power projects. You will work closely with engineering and project teams to translate design concepts into detailed, manufacturable drawings that meet industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop general arrangement, layout and assembly drawings for control and protection panels, including cubicles and sub‑assemblies.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings for sheet‑metal components, mounting plates, sub‑panels and busbar systems with full dimensions, tolerances and notes.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, termination drawings and panel layouts using EPLAN based on engineering specifications.
• Generate and maintain device tags, cable schedules, terminal diagrams and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client specifications and applicable codes such as IEC and NFPA.
• Update and revise drawings in response to engineering changes, site feedback and as‑built requirements while maintaining version control.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers and production teams to optimise component placement, accessibility and thermal performance.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into final documentation.

Required profile

• Proficiency with EPLAN and/or ELCAD software.
• Familiarity with IEC and NFPA electrical standards.
• Experience creating detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage drawing revisions and version control.
