Electrical Electronics Technician – Slickline & Wireline

About the role

The Wireline/Slickline Electrical Electronics Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing slickline units and associated tools to ensure reliable field operations in oil‑field environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on low‑voltage equipment and slickline units.
• Provide on‑site training to customers on equipment use and maintenance.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks to meet safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and inspection records.
• Assist with equipment load‑outs, function tests, and mobilization of slickline units.
• Collaborate with field engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to support workshop operations.
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent technical qualification (technical diploma preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience as an electrician working with low‑voltage equipment, preferably in oil‑field, wireline or slickline operations.
• Strong knowledge of safe working practices in oil‑field environments (H2S, confined space, pressure control).
• High safety awareness, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
