Electrical Engineer – Operations and Maintenance

About the role

Wood is recruiting a Rotational Support / Remote Electrical Engineer for its UAE business unit in Sharjah. This full‑time position provides electrical engineering expertise to site‑based teams, performing and reviewing complex or non‑routine calculations and analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide EE expertise to technical Management of Change (MoCs) and Engineering Queries (EQs).
• Support hazard identification and risk assessment processes.
• Conduct incident investigations and defect assessments.
• Align inspection, testing, maintenance and condition monitoring tasks with Equipment Strategies.
• Develop and update technical content of Equipment Strategies and review inspection & maintenance effectiveness.
• Perform reliability analysis for electrical equipment using surveillance and condition monitoring data.
• Deliver Kirkuk‑related actions and lead resolution of complex multi‑discipline technical issues.
• Write, review, and recommend technical input for Site Operations Procedures (SOPs).
• Coach client engineers and generate, revise, and review discipline technical documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional accreditation – Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer.
• Substantial experience with engineering, maintenance and operation of electrical equipment in oil & gas facilities.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, industry standards and local regulations, with proven practical application.
• Strong stakeholder management experience.
