Electrical Inspector – Building Construction

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Electrical Inspector to join AECOM’s construction team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves performing comprehensive electrical inspections on building projects, ensuring full compliance with UAE electrical codes, IEC standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct rough‑in, trim‑out and final electrical inspections on building construction sites.
• Verify that wiring, panels, circuits, grounding systems and safety devices meet local and international codes.
• Test electrical installations using appropriate equipment and record findings in detailed reports.
• Identify code violations or deficiencies, communicate them to project managers and contractors, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain organized inspection records, photographic evidence and documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers and other site personnel to ensure safety and quality standards are upheld.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years (96 months) of experience in electrical inspections within building construction.
• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical codes and IEC international standards.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a commitment to safety and quality.
