Electrical Inspector

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Inspector to oversee and inspect electrical installation works on construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that all activities are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes and project quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect power distribution, lighting, low‑current systems, grounding and other electrical installations against drawings, specifications and codes.
• Monitor contractor progress, verify use of approved materials and workmanship, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities, review inspection requests, material inspection requests and test reports.
• Identify defects or non‑conforming work and coordinate corrective actions with engineers, contractors and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, observations, testing activities and site progress.
• Participate in site meetings, provide updates on findings and follow up on punch‑list items prior to handover.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical inspection, construction supervision or quality control.
• Experience on large‑scale commercial, residential, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, testing, commissioning and relevant codes (IEC, NEC, BS or local standards).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non‑compliant work.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders on site.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with engineering/construction documentation systems.
