Senior Construction Supervisor – Piping

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Supervisor – Piping to lead piping works on an onshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees all aspects of piping fabrication, erection, testing and pre‑commissioning, ensuring safety, quality and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation and erection of piping systems for oil & gas facilities, ensuring compliance with IFC drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate piping activities with civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning teams.
• Manage contractor and subcontractor crews, ensuring availability of manpower, tools, equipment and materials.
• Monitor welding, hydro‑static and pneumatic testing, flushing and reinstatement activities to meet project standards.
• Enforce HSE requirements, conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Lead QA/QC inspections, handle NCRs and ensure proper documentation of test packages.
• Track progress against schedule, prepare regular construction reports and support recovery planning.
• Assist mechanical completion and ready‑for‑commissioning handovers, including punch‑list verification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10–15 years of piping construction experience in oil & gas projects, with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory role.
• Proven experience on refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG facilities, gas processing plants, pipelines or offshore platforms.
• Experience working with international operators such as ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, etc.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4/B31.8, API, ASTM and ISO standards.
• Familiarity with welding codes, NDT requirements and WPS/PQR compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, general arrangement drawings, plot plans and stress analysis reports.
• Knowledge of hydro‑static testing, pneumatic testing, flushing and commissioning procedures.
• Proficiency with construction management software and MS Office applications.
