Electrical Technician – Dubai

About the role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment throughout Marriott hotel properties in Dubai. This role ensures all electrical work complies with the National Electric Code and local regulations while supporting safe and reliable operations for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning tools, equipment, and electrical systems.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, generators, emergency lighting, and other components.
• Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to verify system performance.
• Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and layout plans to ensure correct installation.
• Respond to repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and manage inventory of parts and supplies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• At least 2 years of related electrical maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Experience using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and local electrical codes.
