Electrical Tray Fitter

About the role

The Electrical Tray Fitter will install and assemble cable tray systems on construction sites, ensuring proper alignment and compliance with approved drawings. This role involves working closely with electricians, HVAC technicians and site engineers in the oil & gas, water and power sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Install ladder, perforated and solid‑bottom cable trays according to drawings and specifications.
• Cut, bend, drill and assemble tray components on‑site, including bends, tees, reducers and risers.
• Fit supports, hangers, brackets and structural steel to secure tray systems.
• Interpret HVAC/mechanical drawings and layout plans to ensure correct routing and leveling.
• Coordinate with other trades, follow site safety rules and maintain tools and equipment.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC/MEP/electrical installation, preferably with tray installation.
• ITI or equivalent technical education.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and work at heights or confined spaces.
• Willingness to work in remote, offshore or desert locations.

Required skills

• Cable tray installation.
• Cutting, bending and drilling of metal components.
• Interpretation of HVAC/mechanical drawings.
• Use of hand and power tools.
