Electrician – Hotel Maintenance (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Southern Sun is seeking a qualified electrician to join its hotel operations in Abu Dhabi. The role involves maintaining and repairing electrical systems across the property, ensuring safety and compliance. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team to keep the hotel's electrical plant running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assess electrical/plant breakdowns and perform repairs.
• Install new electrical‑related equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance checks and identify faults.
• Produce a full and detailed electrical update of all plant and equipment monthly.
• Comply with ADOSH and other safety standards.
• Conduct monthly meter readings.
• Work on live equipment up to 415 V.
• Participate in health, safety, and environmental programmes.
• Issue or ensure compliance certification for installations.
• Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high‑quality standards.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in hotel electrical maintenance.
• Full‑term Diploma in Electrical or ITI qualification.
• Hands‑on experience related to electrical work.
• Qualified electrician who has completed an apprenticeship.
• Flexibility to work shifts according to operational needs.
• Hotel experience within the UAE.
