ELL Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic ELL Teaching Assistant to join our Dubai school immediately. Working closely with the ELL Teacher, you will help multilingual learners develop English proficiency and access the full curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in planning and delivering classroom activities and lessons.
• Provide individual and small‑group support to students needing extra language assistance.
• Lead targeted language interventions using scaffolding, visuals and other support techniques.
• Prepare and organise teaching materials, worksheets, displays and classroom resources.
• Supervise students during lessons, breaks and transitions, promoting positive behaviour.
• Support EAL assessments, progress monitoring and record‑keeping.
• Communicate observations to the teacher and collaborate with staff and parents as needed.
• Participate in school events, meetings and professional development sessions.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
• Experience working with multilingual children or in an educational setting (advantageous).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and a commitment to inclusive teaching.

Required skills

• Ability to use scaffolding strategies, visual aids and language support techniques.
• Basic proficiency in preparing teaching resources and classroom displays.
