About the role
The Turbofan Performance Engineer will lead thermodynamic cycle analysis to support the design, optimisation and validation of turbofan engine architectures throughout the full development lifecycle, from concept through certification and in‑service support.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed engine thermodynamic cycle models.
- Define engine decks, operating envelopes and performance targets.
- Collaborate with the aircraft performance team to ensure integration.
- Optimise specific fuel consumption (SFC), thrust, thermal efficiency and overall engine operability.
- Provide architectural design advice and ensure consistency across system integration.
- Support test planning, instrumentation and participate in engine test data analysis.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Turbomachinery or Fluid Dynamics.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with turbofan architecture, compressor‑turbine matching and SFC analysis.
- Fluent English communication skills.
