Engineer I - Projects (Civil & Structural)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an Engineer I – Projects to join its Sharjah office. The role focuses on civil and structural project delivery, ensuring contractual obligations are met and client expectations are exceeded.

Key responsibilities

• Review contracts for scope, obligations, schedules, and potential concerns; prepare kick‑off agendas and gather multidisciplinary information.
• Finalize deliverable lists per contract, obtain client approval, and coordinate with engineering disciplines for material requisition, technical bid evaluation, and purchase requisition.
• Monitor weekly progress of drawings, procedures, calculations and take corrective actions on any slippages.
• Interface with procurement to track procurement status and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Organise weekly client review meetings to discuss progress, forecast upcoming work, and resolve outstanding issues.
• Coordinate with other companies as required by contract, facilitating document exchange and query resolution.
• Lead post‑award vendor kick‑off meetings, expedite vendor deliverables, monitor order progress, and manage risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of relevant project engineering experience.
• Based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
