Engineering Director – Lead Strategy & Operations

About the role

An Engineering Director leads engineering strategy, technical operations, and project delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across all initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering strategies, standards, and plans.
• Lead engineering projects from planning through completion, managing schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Oversee design, development, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulations.
• Identify engineering risks, changes, and technical requirements, driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, with extensive senior engineering leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage engineering teams, projects, budgets, and resources in the UAE/GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional engineering certification or chartered status is advantageous.
