Engineering Intern – Hands‑On Experience

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Engineering Intern to join the engineering team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah. The internship provides hands‑on exposure to real engineering projects, allowing you to develop technical skills while supporting senior engineers on design, analysis and optimisation tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design, development and testing of engineering projects and systems.
• Conduct technical analysis, research and troubleshooting to support ongoing initiatives.
• Participate in quality‑assurance and testing activities to ensure project specifications are met.
• Document technical specifications, design changes and project progress in an organised manner.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical support.
• Support maintenance, optimisation and improvement of engineering systems and processes.
• Contribute to problem‑solving activities and recommend process improvements.
• Utilise engineering software and tools to create models, simulations and technical documentation.

• Familiarity with engineering principles and industry standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.
• Experience using engineering software for modelling and simulation.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge.
