Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the maintenance, repair and operation of all building systems at Banyan Tree Dubai, ensuring a safe, efficient and guest‑focused environment. This senior position reports to senior hotel leadership and oversees a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevator, fire safety and building automation systems.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
• Plan, monitor and control the engineering department budget.
• Implement energy‑saving initiatives and sustainability practices.
• Create staff schedules, assign tasks and optimise operational efficiency.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and support professional development.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing engineering operations in a hospitality or large‑facility setting.
• Strong leadership and team‑development abilities.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
