Engineering Trainee – MEA Regional Operations (1-year)

About the role

This one‑year Engineering Trainee position supports regional engineering operations across the Middle East & Africa (MEA) from Dubai. You will help build a component matrix for client GIS substations while gaining hands‑on experience in technical analysis and business skills. The role offers mentorship, gradual responsibility and the chance to work with an experienced MEA engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Support services engineering projects from concept through execution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as MEA Parts Hub, sales and operations.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, quality and safety regulations.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation and, when required, participate in site visits and inspections.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Electromechanical, Energy or related).
• Strong academic record and understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Preference for UAE nationals holding a Family Book.
• Fresh graduate (within 2 years) or recent graduate.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Familiarity with CAD tools.
• Exposure to SAP and BusinessObjects (BO).
• Basic knowledge of high‑voltage (HV) products.
• Experience with data analysis software.
