Maintenance Technician – Elevators & Escalators

About the role

KONE is looking for a Maintenance Technician specialized in elevators and escalators to join its Middle East, Turkey & Africa team in Dubai. You will be the frontline expert ensuring equipment safety, performance and delivering high‑quality service to customers. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to improve equipment reliability and support KONE’s commitment to safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and on‑call repairs on elevators and escalators.
• Communicate ETA, job status and service reports to customers in real time.
• Identify and report site risks, take immediate action on high‑risk issues and follow escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate back‑reporting of work performed at the equipment level.
• Ensure safe working practices, keep tools and service van in good condition, and submit timesheets promptly.
• Raise sales opportunities to supervisor based on service interactions.

Required profile

• ITI/Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Automation engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting experience with a reputable elevator company.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Basic IT and digital foundation skills.
• Valid GCC driving licence (preferred).
