EPLAN Design Automation Engineer

About the role

Eaton is seeking an EPLAN Design Automation Engineer to lead end‑to‑end engineering, quotation and technical clarification of customized pre‑wired distribution boards. The role supports Eaton’s LV Digital Journey by bridging customer requirements, engineering standards, manufacturing constraints and digital engineering platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain engineering drawings using EPLAN Electric P8 and Pro Panel.
• Develop, document and maintain standardized macros for electrical schematics and layout design.
• Provide validated engineering logic, rules and constraints for EEC (Eplan Engineering Configuration) development.
• Support definition and validation of construction kits, options, variants and dependencies.
• Collaborate with the EEC developer to test, validate and improve automated engineering outputs.
• Participate in correction loops to resolve data‑quality, macro‑behavior or configuration‑logic issues.
• Work closely with sales, engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Required profile

• Strong background in electrical design and automation engineering.
• Experience with digital engineering workflows and rule‑based automation.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into compliant engineering solutions.
