Estimator (AE) – Full-Time

About the role

The Estimator (AE) will support Group AMANA’s construction projects in Dubai by managing tender documentation, performing cost estimations, and contributing to strategic digitisation and ESG initiatives. The role combines technical estimation work with a focus on improving both customer and employee value propositions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive strategic digitisation and data‑driven decision making across projects.
• Ensure ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) compliance in tender processes.
• Contribute to building an innovative culture and enhancing customer and employee value propositions.
• Handle tender documents, including stamping, filing, and administration.
• Operate estimation software and maintain the tendering log.
• Perform basic rate build‑up and visualize drawings in 3D.
• Generate and follow up on RFIs and RFQs.
• Prepare comparison sheets and complete scope breakdowns, differentiating scope, calculating quantities, and providing accurate unit rates.
• Suggest reasonable supplier/sub‑contractor discount levels for manager approval.
• Assist in developing techniques to expedite the tendering process from quantity surveying to final estimation sheets.
• Manage tender document administration for one or two full tenders, ensuring transparent RFI/RFQ handling.
• Verify scope, quantities, and rates, and author credible comparison sheets.
• Prepare BOQ entries and support the Chief/Senior Estimator with tender review packs.
• Translate value analysis studies into value engineering for tenders.
• Identify contradictions between drawings, specifications, and BOQ, and flag critical items for senior review.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction cost estimation and tender management.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail with a methodical approach to documentation.
• Capability to work collaboratively with operations and senior estimation teams.
