Event Sales Manager – MICE

About the role

The Event Sales Manager will lead the hotel’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) strategy, driving group and event business while positioning the property as the preferred venue for corporate and social gatherings.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and secure new MICE business across corporate groups, conferences, incentives, exhibitions and social events.
• Manage and grow existing client portfolios, ensuring repeat business and revenue targets are met.
• Collaborate with Events, Revenue, Marketing and Operations teams to design tailored event solutions and deliver seamless guest experiences.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and present solutions to decision‑makers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
• Utilise sales systems and reporting tools to track performance and forecast revenue.

Required profile

• Proven experience in MICE or events sales within the hospitality industry.
• Strong track record of generating group and event revenue and achieving sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Strategic, commercially minded with the capacity to develop action plans.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Team player who works effectively with cross‑functional hotel departments.
