Laundry Agent

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown in Dubai is seeking a Laundry Agent to deliver high‑quality laundry services for guests and staff. The role involves handling garments, uniforms and linens, ensuring they are cleaned, pressed and presented to the brand’s exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, sort, clean, press and inspect guest laundry according to care labels and hotel standards.
• Manage uniform and linen care, including sorting, cleaning, repairing, distributing and conducting inventory checks.
• Operate laundry machinery safely, follow maintenance guidelines and use cleaning chemicals responsibly.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage in a clean, organized environment.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments, especially during high‑demand periods, to ensure smooth operations.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, deliver items on time, handle complaints professionally and create memorable experiences.

Required profile

• Senior High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in textiles or hospitality is a plus.
• At least 1 year of laundry or housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel, preferably in the Middle East.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English; Arabic is an asset.
• Physically fit, able to work overnight shifts and maintain a professional appearance.

Required skills

• Operating laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
• Using cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of fabric types and appropriate care methods.
