Events Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Events Manager to lead the meeting, catering and event segment for Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi. The role involves securing business, planning events, and coordinating with hotel operations and clients throughout the event lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain active relationships with Professional Conference Organizers, Destination Management Companies, Event Management companies, corporate accounts, MICE departments of travel agencies and tourism authorities.
• Plan, retain and develop existing business while acquiring new accounts to grow market share.
• Conduct regular sales calls to maintain client relationships and develop new opportunities.
• Attend weekly department head meetings and collaborate with the Director of C&E/Director of Sales on business planning and revenue discussions.
• Introduce ideas to the leadership team to keep the property competitive.
• Maintain close communication with Rotana Global Sales, National Sales Offices and Catering & Events Departments to work as one team on leads.
• Ensure IFH Mystery Calls performance meets Rotana standards and does not fall below 80%.
• Handle all incoming requests jointly with the concerned Sales Person, follow up on offers and cross‑sell when necessary.
• Oversee the hand‑over process of signed contracts to the respective hotels and support operational departments as required.
• Follow up on guest feedback after events and encourage completion of the Guest Satisfaction Survey.
• Promote high standards of confidence, courtesy and social skills, leading by example.
• Maintain detailed product knowledge of hotels in the area and conduct regular competition checks.
• Forward any irregularities encountered to the Director promptly.
