Executive Chef

About the role

The Executive Chef will lead the culinary operations for Emirates Flight Catering, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety and customer experience across flights, lounges and VIP segments. This senior role combines strategic menu development, cost control and team leadership to support a high‑volume, high‑visibility catering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee food quality, hygiene and procedural compliance for all flight, lounge and special‑segment catering.
• Design, review and approve menus that meet contractual requirements, creativity, operational feasibility and cost accuracy.
• Optimize manpower planning, train and motivate staff, and rotate teams to build full culinary capability.
• Monitor food yields, labor and material usage to enhance cost efficiency and meet budgeted targets.
• Analyse operational and financial reports, identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, suppliers and support functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or a related culinary discipline (Master’s and Food Safety certification preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in high‑volume or large‑scale culinary production.
• Proven leadership, delegation and mentoring abilities.
• Strong organizational, training and communication skills.
• Strategic thinking with a focus on long‑term planning and operational excellence.
