Experienced Commodities Trader

About the role

DV Commodities, a division of the DV Group, is seeking an experienced trader to own P&L across one or more energy‑related markets. Based in Dubai, you will work alongside senior energy traders, applying proprietary methodologies and advanced technology to generate liquidity and profit.

Key responsibilities

• Take primary ownership of P&L for selected energy commodities.
• Develop and maintain both fundamental and quantitative trading models.
• Collaborate with risk teams to ensure compliance with risk limits and sizing.
• Share best practices and learnings with senior traders on a side‑by‑side basis.
• Apply proprietary trading systems and methodologies to grow existing positions.
• Identify and pursue new trading opportunities aligned with market dynamics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in energy or commodity trading.
• Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and composure under stress.
• Effective communication and teamwork within a diversified group.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and VBA.
• Experience with SQL and Python for data analysis.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling and quantitative techniques.
