Explosives Operator – Wireline Logging

About the role

The Explosives Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, preparation, and detonation of explosive charges used in wireline logging operations. The role ensures strict compliance with UAE, ADNOC and client safety regulations while supporting seamless integration with the logging services team.

Key responsibilities

• Safely handle, transport, store, and inventory explosives and detonating devices in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare explosive charges and detonation systems for well‑bore deployment, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Execute deployment and controlled detonation of charges following operational plans and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate closely with the logging services team to align explosive activities with overall well‑logging operations.
• Implement and adhere to all relevant company policies, procedures, and HSE standards.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for UAE nationalization programs and maintain tools and safety equipment.
• Collect technical field data, contribute to progress reports, method statements, and near‑miss reporting.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in explosives handling or a related field, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
• Familiarity with UAE, ADNOC, and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
