Facilities Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function of a large hospital. The role ensures that all building, plant and infrastructure systems operate safely, reliably and in compliance with UAE regulations and international accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall maintenance function, guaranteeing continuous availability and safety of all hospital infrastructure and engineering systems.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, annual plans, policies and SOPs aligned with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations for MEP, HVAC, medical gas, fire & life safety, elevators, utilities and building fabric.
• Establish preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programmes and manage the CMMS for work orders, asset tracking and performance reporting.
• Coordinate with in‑house teams and outsourced service providers, manage budgets, contracts and critical spare‑parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory bodies (DHA, DOH, MOHAP, Civil Defence, Municipality) and support JCI accreditation audits.
• Participate in safety, infection‑control and quality committees, addressing maintenance‑related risks.
• Plan, supervise and deliver maintenance projects, renovations and system upgrades.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in facilities or engineering management within a healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory and accreditation standards for hospital facilities.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Excellent organizational and project‑management skills.
