Facilities Management Engineer (FM Engineer)

About the role

The Facilities Management Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of building services across a portfolio of assets. You will ensure that HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and other MEP systems run efficiently and comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, BMS, generators, lifts and related building systems.
• Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Monitor contractor and technician performance to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Handle breakdowns, emergency repairs, and coordinate rapid response actions.
• Prepare maintenance reports, checklists, and service schedules.
• Track energy consumption and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with clients, tenants, and vendors to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and local regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in the UAE/GCC region.
• Strong understanding of building services and MEP systems.
• Driving licence preferred for field work.
