Facilities Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Facilities Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of Queen Elizabeth’s School in Dubai Sports City. The role ensures that the campus buildings, grounds and infrastructure are safe, clean and functional, supporting high‑quality teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day maintenance of school buildings, equipment and grounds, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Develop and run a preventative maintenance programme and supervise in‑house staff and external contractors.
• Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments and safety audits to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Oversee security systems such as CCTV, access control and visitor management, and lead emergency preparedness activities.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors for cleaning, landscaping, maintenance and other outsourced services.
• Prepare and monitor the facilities budget, track expenses and ensure cost‑effective use of resources.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities or building management, preferably in an educational environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and security standards.
• Ability to lead teams, coordinate contractors and manage budgets.
