F&B Hostess – Guest Reception & Seating

About the role

The First Group Hospitality is seeking a friendly and organized F&B Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests in its dining venues. You will welcome visitors, manage waiting lists and reservations, and ensure a smooth flow from arrival to departure, contributing to a positive dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the venue and provide accurate wait times.
• Monitor and update waiting lists, manage reservations, and escort customers to their assigned tables or bar areas.
• Present menus, announce the serving staff’s name, and coordinate seating options with wait staff.
• Maintain a clean and orderly reception area.
• Assist guests requiring extra attention, such as children or elderly patrons.
• Answer incoming calls, address customer queries, and support wait staff as needed.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff regarding table turnover.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting.
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent verbal communication.
• Demonstrable organizational skills to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
• Ability to work shifts, stand for extended periods, and handle a fast‑paced environment.
