Field Engineer – Subsea Installation

About the role

Black & Grey HR is looking for a permanent Field Engineer to join an offshore and subsea operations team in Abu Dhabi. You will supervise and coordinate subsea installation activities, working on a 60‑day on / 30‑day off rotation while also supporting on‑shore engineering tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise offshore installation of sleepers, mattresses, risers, grout bags and other subsea components.
• Monitor installation quality, provide technical guidance and conduct inspections.
• Coordinate vessel positioning and equipment deployment with marine crews.
• Maintain installation procedures, quality records and project documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during offshore operations.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, project standards and HSE requirements.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and emergency response procedures.
• Support equipment troubleshooting, maintenance coordination and on‑shore pre‑mobilisation activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore/subsea installation or marine engineering.
• Proven ability to lead installation crews and work safely in offshore environments.
