About the role
The Field Operator will ensure the smooth and continuous operation of gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, potline rectifiers and associated plant equipment at the Jebel Ali site in the UAE, adhering to safety and efficiency standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate all assigned plant equipment safely and efficiently.
- Record routine parameter readings, report deviations and inform the supervisor or control room of any abnormalities.
- Maintain standby equipment for emergency service.
- Assist with routine testing and re‑commissioning after maintenance outages.
- Follow safe working practices, identify hazards and participate in the reporting system.
- Maintain good housekeeping and be familiar with emergency procedures.
- Provide on‑the‑job training and strive for increased competency.
Required profile
- Higher Secondary School Certificate.
- Minimum 4 years experience in a power station.
- At least 2 years experience as a Desalination Operator (PG7) or equivalent.
Required skills
- Ability to interpret single line diagrams.
- Basic IT skills.
