Finance Accountant – Dubai

About the role

The Finance Accountant will ensure the accuracy of financial records, support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, and manage invoicing and vendor payments for Marriott International in Dubai. This role combines detailed data handling with cross‑departmental collaboration to maintain financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Verify figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
• Organise, secure and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents according to policies.
• Record, store, access and analyse computerized financial information.
• Classify, code and summarise numerical data using journals, ledgers or computer systems.
• Prepare, maintain, audit and distribute financial, accounting and payroll reports.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and related reporting.
• Prepare, review, reconcile and issue bills, invoices and account statements.
• Follow‑up on past‑due accounts and vendor invoices until resolved.
• Coordinate tasks with other departments and act as a role model or mentor.
• Report accidents or injuries promptly and adhere to all company policies.

Required profile

• Experience in finance or accounting functions, including invoice processing and period‑end closing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record‑keeping.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physical ability to move objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
