Finance Control Associate – Financial Reporting & Controls

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Control Associate to join our client’s finance team in Abu Dhabi. The role will focus on hands‑on financial reporting, month‑end and year‑end closing, and ensuring robust financial controls across the reporting cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support the end‑to‑end month‑end and year‑end closing process.
• Perform General Ledger activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, provisions and adjustments.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support accurate and timely monthly financial reporting and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data and compliance with internal accounting policies.
• Assist with audit requirements and provide necessary documentation.
• Identify errors, discrepancies and control gaps in financial transactions.
• Collaborate with finance teams and business stakeholders to resolve reporting issues.
• Contribute to improvements in reporting processes, controls and month‑end procedures.
• Prepare management reports and financial analysis as required.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience in a finance function, covering the full financial reporting cycle.
• Strong background in General Ledger, month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Fully certified ACCA, CA or CPA preferred.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of reporting activities and be available immediately or within 30 days.
