Finance Intern – Accounting & Reporting Support

About the role

GCC Solutions is seeking a Finance Intern to support its finance function in Dubai. This hands‑on internship offers real‑world exposure to accounting, reporting and compliance within a fast‑paced professional services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules for management and audit.
• Support month‑end close activities, including accruals, pre‑payments and bank reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable invoices, prepaid expense amortisation and time‑sensitive statutory payments.
• Track accounts receivable, monitor ageing, follow up overdue invoices and assist with foreign‑currency provisions.
• Compile schedules and reconciliations for Corporate Tax filings with the UAE Federal Tax Authority.
• Prepare basic cash‑flow and variance summaries for review.
• Perform ad‑hoc finance and accounting tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (final‑year students welcome).
• Working knowledge of core accounting principles; IFRS/IAS exposure is a plus.
• Comfortable with double‑entry bookkeeping and journal entries.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate numerical discrepancies.
• Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Residing in the UAE and able to work on‑site in Dubai.
