Finance Manager – Kenya/Tanzania

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial operations across Kenya and Tanzania for a leading industrial company in Africa. The role will be based in either Kenya, Tanzania or Uganda and will support business growth across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for the Kenya and Tanzania operations.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax regulations in both countries.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow and inventory performance.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to drive profitability.
• Develop and implement financial controls and risk‑management procedures.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain relationships with banks and regulatory authorities.
• Analyse business performance and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Lead, mentor and develop local finance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CIMA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of finance management experience in distribution, FMCG, retail or trading sectors.
• Proven experience working across multiple African countries, particularly in East Africa.
• Strong analytical and leadership abilities.
• Fluent English; Swahili is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
