Financial Accountant – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

FedEx is looking for a Financial Accountant to join its Dubai hub on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. You will own the month‑end closing process, support external audits and ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end month‑end closing, including accruals, pre‑payments and journal entries.
• Prepare and coordinate external audit documentation to achieve a zero‑finding outcome.
• Ensure financial processes align with IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAP and UAE VAT requirements.
• Identify and resolve process inefficiencies to improve reporting stability.
• Produce variance analysis and executive‑level financial insights.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualified with 1–3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Hands‑on experience in financial accounting, year‑end audit preparation and internal controls.
• Demonstrated knowledge of UAE regulatory environment, including VAT compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
