Fire Training Officer

About the role

The Fire Training Officer provides 24‑hour emergency response and leads fire‑fighting, hydrocarbon and toxic gas release incidents across ADNOC’s island facilities. The role also designs, delivers and supervises fire‑training programmes for internal teams, offshore crews and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Act as incident commander during fire, gas release or rescue situations until relieved.
• Supervise the Island Fire Training Centre and ensure all courses meet ADNOC fire‑service standards.
• Develop and present training aids for fire fighting, emergency response, chemical incidents and breathing‑apparatus use.
• Design and execute simulated emergency exercises for offshore facilities and marine vessels.
• Inspect offshore installations daily for compliance with HSE regulations, fire codes and standards; compile reports and corrective actions.
• Instruct personnel on the operation and maintenance of fire‑fighting equipment such as CO₂/air compressors, bulk dry‑chemical machines and breathing‑apparatus test rigs.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in fire fighting, emergency response or related safety roles.
• Proven ability to lead teams in high‑risk environments and act as incident commander.
• Strong knowledge of fire codes, HSE regulations and offshore safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for delivering training to UAE nationals and contractors.
