Fire Truck Driver Operator

About the role

The Fire Truck Driver Operator is responsible for safely operating fire appliances and associated equipment to support fire and emergency response across NAFFCO sites in Dubai. The role includes vehicle checks, responding to incidents, assisting firefighting and rescue activities, and maintaining equipment readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Drive fire appliances and ancillary vehicles safely to and from incidents, exercises and station duties, following defensive driving techniques and emergency driving policies.
• Operate pumps, ladders, hose reels, lighting and other appliance‑mounted systems during operational duties.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑shift vehicle and equipment inspections, record findings and report defects.
• Support routine maintenance, cleaning and minor servicing to keep equipment ready for use.
• Assist with scene safety, traffic management and casualty support as directed by the incident commander.
• Follow health and safety policies, maintain required driver licences, endorsements and medical fitness.
• Complete vehicle logbooks, defect reports and operational records accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Full UAE driving licence with the appropriate category for heavy emergency vehicles.
• Relevant vocational training or certificates in appliance operation or pump operation (desirable).
• Previous experience in fire, rescue, emergency services or similar environments (advantageous).
• Demonstrated safe driving record and ability to work under operational pressure.
