Fit-Out Project Manager

About the role

The Fit-Out Project Manager will lead the planning, execution and delivery of firefighting and fire‑alarm fit‑out projects for NAFFCO in Dubai. You will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and fully compliant with client specifications, NFPA standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed execution schedules, allocate manpower, subcontractors, equipment and resources.
• Provide technical leadership to site engineers, supervisors and installation teams.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal departments to resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Prepare, review and approve Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Inspection Test Plans and other project documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety and productivity, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Verify Bills of Quantities, shop drawings, material submittals and procurement requirements.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, UAE Civil Defence regulations, local authority rules and company HSE policies.
• Monitor project costs, manpower utilization, material consumption and overall performance against budget.
• Prepare progress reports, cost reports and recovery plans; submit monthly progress claims and variation orders.
• Lead project meetings, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support commissioning, testing, authority inspections, final hand‑over and close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of firefighting, fire‑alarm and life‑safety systems within fit‑out projects.
• Proven experience managing fire‑protection fit‑out projects from initiation through commissioning.
• Solid understanding of NFPA standards, UAE Civil Defence regulations and international fire‑protection codes.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
