Food & Beverage Captain

About the role

Al Ain Rotana is seeking a dynamic Food & Beverage Captain to lead service operations and ensure memorable guest experiences. The role combines hands‑on service with team supervision in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverage service according to the hotel’s performance standards.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of the outlet’s menu to advise guests and upsell.
• Set up the outlet for service, supervise smooth operations, and handle guest complaints professionally.
• Direct and coach the service team, ensuring all duties meet established standards.
• Oversee training, supply planning, and accurate beverage stock records.
• Minimise waste, breakage and spoilage while maximizing revenue through upselling techniques.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in hospitality (or related field).
• Maximum two years of experience in a similar food‑and‑beverage role.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with the Micros POS system (preferred).
• Previous minor leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Customer‑focused, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
• Team player comfortable with multicultural guests and colleagues.
