About the role
Due to Emiratisation requirements, this role is for UAE Nationals only. The Independent Food Company is a UAE/KSA‑based hospitality group with concepts such as SALT, Parker’s, Somewhere, Shalwa, Kumo and Public. We are seeking an experienced Food Safety Officer to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintain a clean and sanitary environment, and guarantee the quality of our food products. The role involves implementing and enforcing food safety protocols, conducting inspections, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential food safety hazards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant food safety regulations, including HACCP and Dubai Municipality food code.
- Provide training on food safety practices to employees.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and corrective actions.
- Investigate and address food safety incidents, implementing corrective actions.
- Recommend improvements to food safety processes and procedures.
