General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial records in Abu Dhabi. You will prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile revenue and receivables, and ensure the general ledger reflects accurate and compliant data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries and revenue reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts in line with company policies.
• Coordinate external reporting documents and respond to related inquiries.
• Assist internal and external auditors by preparing schedules and supporting documents.
• Validate various transaction types and ensure proper posting to the general ledger.
• Reconcile inter‑company accounts and work with sister companies to resolve differences.
• Supervise month‑end and year‑end closing processes and related reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in general ledger accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
