General Maintenance & Shift Operator

About the role

The General Maintenance & Shift Operator ensures the smooth operation of all building services at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. Working in a dynamic luxury hotel environment, you will be responsible for maintaining guest comfort and safety while supporting the wider operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the daily work schedule, covering planned maintenance and urgent guest requests.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Inspect, test and maintain air‑conditioning, water and fire‑safety systems to required standards.
• Collaborate with other operational departments to ensure equipment reliability.
• Manage relationships with external contractors and support inspectors during audits.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance checks.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude with the ability to work in a fast‑paced hospitality setting.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with guests, colleagues and external partners.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Basic technical knowledge of building services and a commitment to safety.
