General Manager – FMCG (UAE)

About the role

The General Manager – FMCG will lead the overall performance of the business in the UAE, owning the P&L and driving growth across all commercial functions. This senior role requires a proven track record in accelerating revenue, improving profitability, and building strong distribution networks within the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the business strategy to meet revenue, profit and market‑share targets.
• Develop and implement long‑term growth plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead sales across Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, E‑commerce and HORECA, expanding distribution and strengthening retailer relationships.
• Partner with marketing to create brand strategies, product launches and trade promotions.
• Oversee supply‑chain, procurement, inventory, logistics and demand planning to ensure product availability and cost efficiency.
• Own the P&L, prepare budgets, forecasts and strategic business plans, and monitor KPIs.
• Mentor cross‑functional leadership teams, set performance objectives and succession plans.
• Build relationships with key customers, distributors, suppliers and present performance to senior leadership and shareholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of progressive FMCG experience.
• At least 7 years in a General Manager, Business Unit Head, Country Manager or Commercial Director role.
• Demonstrated full P&L responsibility and success in revenue growth and profitability.
