General Manager Plantary

About the role

Our client is looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead the Plantary business from its early‑stage concept to a scalable, profitable operation. The role reports directly to the founders and is responsible for day‑to‑day execution of strategic initiatives, sales launch, and building a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily business operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and cost‑efficiency.
• Design and launch sales processes and delivery frameworks that can scale rapidly.
• Recruit, develop and manage a lean, accountable team focused on operational excellence.
• Manage supplier relationships, budgeting, purchasing, inventory control and workflow optimisation.
• Drive profitability by monitoring KPIs, margins, and operational efficiency.
• Provide transparent, regular updates to founders and the board, taking full ownership of results.
